Audiences witness the cast improvise a fresh, sophisticated and complex play. Each piece has a clear beginning, middle and end and a full commitment to the style in which the cast is improvising. Past styles include George F. Walker, Tony Kushner, Judith Thompson, Tennessee Williams, Anton Chekov and many more.
This award winning show has also toured to international festivals in Berlin, Amsterdam, as well as many cities in The United States and Canada.
The show is so spot-on it’s hard to believe they just made it all up.
Beyond just being invited to respected improvisation and theatre based festivals, Impromptu Splendor has also played major theatres across Canada as part of their studio seasons and enjoyed successful runs at The McManus Theatre in London, Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton, WJT in Winnipeg, TheatreFront in Halifax, and Theatre Passe Muraille in Toronto. Impromptu Splendour also played The Barrow Street Theatre in New York.
